William D. Davis

Mr. William D. “Bill” Davis, Jr., age 67, of New Hope Road, Boaz, died Sunday, May 30, 2021, at his residence.

Funeral service will be eleven o’clock a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Bethany Baptist Church with Bro. Morris Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening, June 4, 2021, from 6 until 8pm at the funeral home. He will lie-in-state at the church on Saturday from 10am until service time.

Mr. Davis was born in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17, 1953, to William D. Davis, Sr and Virginia Evelyn Shaw Davis. He was a retired educator. He is survived by his wife: Belle Davis of Boaz, Son: Kevin Davis (Rebecca) of Washington, Daughter: Kimberly McAvoy (Nicole) of California, Grandchildren: Sullivan Davis and Dahlia Davis, Father: William D. Davis, Sr (Cecilia) of Ecuador, Brothers: Darrol D. Davis (Sana) of California, Daniel Davis of California, Twin Sister: Carol Nelson (Bill) of California and Sister: Donna McFarlane (Rick) of California. He was preceded in death by his Mother: Virginia Evelyn Davis, wife: Sandra Kaye Davis and Brothers: Clyde Davis, Marshall Davis and Hayes Davis.

Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Bethany Baptist Church. Honorary Pallbearer will be Hoyt L. Claburn.

The Family will accept flowers or suggests donations to Happiness Foundation in care of Bethany Baptist Church, 344 Bethany Road, Horton, AL 35980.
