Bobby Joe Perry was born in DeKalb County. He was raised in the small town of Aroney by Guy and Hazel Lee Camp. Bobby was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Bobby was married to his wife Mary for 50 wonderful years. Together, they raised two daughters and one son. Bobby was known to all as a very dedicated and hard-working man. Bobby was a truck driver for Mitchell’s Groceries for over 30 years. Prior to becoming a truck driver, Bobby owned the Aroney store for many years. When he was not working, Bobby enjoyed being surrounded by his family and keeping in touch with his friends by giving them a phone call. Bobby also enjoyed staying in with Mary and watching television while snuggling their two dogs, TJ and JJ. Bobby cared so much for those around him and always knew how to put a smile on anyone’s face.
