Mr. Woodson Taylor, 96, of Hammond, Indiana formerly of Boaz, Alabama, died Sunday, October 30, 2016 at his son's residence in Boaz.
Service will be held at Ten o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the McRae Chapel with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Bro. Thomas Crosley will be officiating. McRae Funeral Home of Boaz in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Taylor was born in Alabama on January 29, 1920 to Martin Renfroe & Nellie Word Taylor. He was retired from the steel manufacturing business and a proud Army Veteran.
Mr. Taylor is survived by Sons & Daughter-in-Law: Jimmy Ray & Janice Taylor of Boaz and Jack Taylor of Illinois, 7 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren, Brother: Edward Taylor of Attalla. He was preceded in death by his Parents and Wife: Lillian Ruth Taylor.
Pallbearers will be David Daley, Ty Powell, Tommy Swann, Allen Taylor, John Gregerson & Jack Taylor.
