William Summerford

Mr. William Harold Summerford, 80 of the Fairview community, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Riverview Medical Center. Service will be Friday, March 4, 2016; Two o'clock p.m. at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Tarvin and Bro. Kerry Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in the Aurora Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 - 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Summerford was born in Alabama on Nov. 20, 1935 to Trannie & Virgie Hammett Summerford. He was a retired machine mechanic with the Lee Company. He was a member of the Fairview F.C.M. Church. Mr. Summerford is survived by his Wife of nearly 55 years: Pat Summerford, Daughter & Son-in-Law: Tina & Nathan Jacobs, Son & Daughter-in-Law: Craig & Jerri Summerford, Grandchildren: Will & Ava Jacobs and Dylan & Faith Summerford, Sister-in-Law: Shirley Summerford, Brother-i-Law: Lowell & Margie Roberson, chosen daughters: Nancy McLeroy and Jennie Holmes and a host of Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Trannie & Virgie Summerford, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Craig Summerford, Dylan Summerford, Blake Summerford, Nathan Jacobs, Will Jacobs and Ray Roberson.
