Mr. William "Arnold" Armstrong, Jr. age 63, of Kenner, Louisiana formerly of Albertville, Alabama, died Saturday, July 16, 2016.
Service will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Mt Vernon Baptist Church with Bro. David Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Mr. Armstrong will lie-in-State from 10-11 at the church. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz is directing. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Armstrong was born in Orlando, Florida on Oct. 8, 1952 to William Arnold Armstrong, Sr & Daisy Evelyn Stokes Armstrong. He was a retired Health & Safety Manager with a petro chemical company.
Mr. Armstrong is survived by his Wife of 44 years: Mona Yates Armstrong of Kenner, Louisiana, Son & Daughter-in-Law: Duane & Donna Armstrong of Cumming, Georgia, Grandchildren, Emma Grace Armstrong and Evan Garrett Armstrong, Brothers &Sister-in-Law: George & Lisa Armstrong of Scottsboro and John Armstrong of Albertville, Sister: Cheryl Rucks of Crossville, Mother-in-Law: Mary Yates of Albertville and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his parents: Evelyn & William Arnold Armstrong, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Mike Yates, Rick Martinez, Joey Lawhorn, Tony Rucks, Jordan Armstrong and Bruce Parris. Honorary Pallbearers will be Will Yates and Justin Yates.
