Vera Evelyn Burke, 88, of Boaz, Alabama died Monday, February 29, 2016 at Golden Living Health and Rehab.
Funeral service will be Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Blake Edmonson, Bro. Jeff Holderfield, and Bro Mickey Perigo officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Family will receive friends the day of the service for 12:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm.
Mrs. Burke is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law Ricky & Mary Burke of Boaz and Terry & Sharon Burke of Boaz; daughter Mary Linda Burke of Boaz; brothers & sister-in-law E.L. & Joyce Mullinax of Albertville; sister-in-law: Ruth Mullinax of Aroney; sisters & brothers-in-law Agnes Holmes of Albertville, Faye & Bill Morgan of Boaz, and Jeanette & Wayne Bankston of Crossville; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband James Waymon Burke; daughter Janice Margaret Burke; parents Walter & Mary Ann Mullinax; and brothers Johnny "Sonny" Mullinax and T.W. Mullinax.
Pallbearers will be Jason Burke, Jabin Adams, Wayne Mullinax, E.L. Mullinax, Wayne Bankston, and Bill Morgan. Honorary pallbearers are the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Family will accept flowers or in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Marshall County
