Sammie Darline Berg

Mrs. Sammie Darline Berg, age 90, of Boaz, Alabama, peacefully departed this world on Thursday, October 29, 2026, surrounded by friends at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.

A Funeral service will be held at one o’clock pm on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the McRae Chapel. Interment will follow in the New Life. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00pm –1:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Berg was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 30, 1936, to Adolphus & Lena Beatrice Baker Clonts. Darline was a woman of remarkable talents and passions. She had an incredible ability to transform simple fabrics and materials into beautiful creations through sewing and crafts. Her gift for gardening seemed natural, nurturing life in every corner of he home. Her home was a testament to her meticulous care and pride, reflecting warmth and beauty that welcomed all who entered. She cherished the bonds she shared with her friends and loved ones.

Mrs. Berg is survived by her Grandsons: Christopher Cranford and Chad Cranford both of Georgia. Step-Daughters: Tammy Hammock & Terri Hood both of Georgia. Special Friends: Ruby Staton of Ohio, Jackie Croft of Boaz. Goddaughter: Lynne Staton of Tennessee.
