Richard Polk

Mr. Richard Polk, age 84, of Boaz, Alabama died on Monday, January 5, 2026, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held at two o’clock pm on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Bro. David Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time at the church.

Richard was born in Ohatchee, Alabama on May 27, 1941, to Winston Napolean & Vera Beatrice Polk. He retired from the Mueller Company.

Richard is survived by his wife: Linda Heard Polk of Boaz, Daughter: Johnna Polk Lee & Robert of Georgia, Grandson: Bryant Jordan Morris & Mariya of New York, Great Granddaughter: Vivian Morris, Sister: Mary Ruth Owen of Fultondale, Brother-in-Law: Jimmy Heard & Donna of Boaz. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Napolean & Vera Polk and 8 siblings.

Pallbearers will be the deacons of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
