Richard Edward "Dick" Adams

Mr. Richard Edward “Dick” Adams, Sr. age 73, of Albertville, Alabama, died on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at two o’clock pm at the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Seth Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The visitation will be on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Adams was born in Albertville, Alabama on October 29, 1951, to Richard Samuel & Jean Jones Adams. He was a third-generation funeral director and the owner of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home for many years. Later in life he worked for the city of Albertville.

Mr. Adams is survived by Wife: Florence “Cooter” Butler-Adams of Albertville, Sons: Richard & Jessica Adams of Pelham and Eric & Carrie Butler of Guntersville, Daughters: Selena Angles of Albertville, and Melissa & Mark Sims of Guntersville, 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren and a sister: Beth & Rick Adams-Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard & Jean Adams.

The pallbearers will be Mason Sims, Blake Holt, Eric Butler, Eli Noojin, Wyatt Angles, Chad Bearden, and Jim Bearden. Honorary pallbearers will be the Albertville High School Class of 1970.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation to Albertville Methodist Church.
