Service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Three o’clock p.m. in the McRae Chapel with Bro. Ricky Williams and Bro. Nick Bayne officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until funeral time at the funeral home. Due to the current health crisis the family requests strict adherence to the wearing of mask and the practice of social distancing. Please save your handshakes and hugs for healthier and happier times.
Bro. Rowan was born in Alabama on April 30, 1930 to Jim Brown Rowan and Lona Bell Pate Rowan. He was a retired carpenter. He was a well known and loved Baptist Minister for more than 60 years.
Bro. Rowan is survived by his Son & Daughter-in-Law: Rodney James & Renea Rowan of Guntersville, Daughters & Son-in-Law: Margaret Rebecca Battles of Altoona and Deborah Evelyn & Lynn Bayne of Sardis, 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren and Sister: Betty Morgan of Boaz. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Margaret Rowan, Brothers: Joe Rowan, Buford Rowan, and G. W. Rowan and Sister: Lillian Crim.
Pallbearers will be Todd Washburn, Robert Horsley, Toby Bayne, Eric Battles, Jason Burke and Tim Rowan.
The Family is accepting flowers or suggests donations to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, 408 Martling Road, Albertville, AL 35951.
