Rev. Jim Brooks, age 75 of Sevierville, Tennessee, formerly of Blountsville, died on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at University of Tennessee Medical Center.

 

Funeral service will be held at Two o’clock pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roger Hendon officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Springs Community Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

 

Rev. Brooks was born in Arab, Alabama on November 19, 1947, to Carlton & Uvaughn Boswell Brooks. He was a retired minister and former Sheriff’s deputy in Jefferson County, Alabama

 

Rev. Brooks is survived by his Wife: Ellen Brooks of Tennessee. Daughter & Son-in-Law: Kristi & Thomas Kenley of Tennessee. Son & Daughter-in-Law: Hunter & Iryna Brooks of Tennessee. Grandchildren: Eden-Rose Brooks Bader, Presley Brooks, Peyton Brooks, Claire Brooks. Step-Great Grandson: Ethan Bader.

 

Rev. Brooks was preceded in death by his Parents: Carlton & Uvaughn Brooks. Son: Preston Brooks. Brother: Tim Brooks.

 

Pallbearers will be Presley Brooks, Peyton Brooks, Hunter Brooks, Brady Bader, Tom Kenley, David Carroll.
