Rebecca "Becky" Canterbury Johnson

Mrs. Rebecca Canterbury “Becky” Johnson, age 79, of Boaz, Alabama, died on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 o’clock pm, Saturday, September 19, 2026, at First Baptist Church Boaz with Bro. Steve Brown and Bro. Kenny Smith officiating. A visitation will be held from noon until service time at the church. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Alabama on August 17, 1947, to William H. & Sara Sitten Canterbury. She was a clerk at Boaz Discount Pharmacy for many years.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her Daughter: Cara & Anthony Whitehead of Albertville, Grandson: Forrest Whitehead, Granddaughter: Hannah Whitehead, Great Grandchildren: Stella Anders, Marty Anders, and Violet Anders, Nieces: Cathy Elkins of Huntsville and Jane Cornelius of Alabaster. She was preceded in death by her Parents: William & Sara Canterbury, Husband: Glennis Johnson, Daughter: Angie Johnson, and Sister: Billie Thompson.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice or First Baptist Church Boaz.
