Mr. Preston Edward Brooks died Wednesday, July 11, 2012 in his adopted hometown of Seymour, Tennessee.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2012, at McRae Funeral Home Chapel, Boaz, Alabama, with Revs. Rex McDaniel and Roger Hendon officiating with interment to follow in Rock Springs Community Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home of Boaz, Alabama is in charge of the arrangements. The Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Preston Brooks Memorial Trust.
Preston was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on February 1, 1968, to Jim and Ellen Brooks. Though he had a long career in sales, Preston will be remembered most for his time leading the praise and worship team at Trinity Gospel Center (later, Alabama Bible Church) in Blountsville, Alabama. Preston is survived by: his wife, Lisa Lyle Brooks; daughter, Eden-Rose Elise; son, Presley Zane; father and mother, Jim and Ellen Brooks, of Sevierville, Tennessee; sister and brother-in-law, Kristi and Tom Kenley, of Portland, Tennessee; brother and sister-in-law, Hunter and Iryna Brooks (nephew and niece, Peyton and Claire), of Seymour, Tennessee; grandparents Carlton and Uvaughn Brooks, of Blountsville; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family.
