Portia Lacey Ballentine

Mrs. Portia Lacey Ballentine, age 84, of Boaz, died on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Marshall Medical Center South.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2025, at two o’clock pm at the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Marsh officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ballentine was born in Alabama on January 26, 1941, to A. C. & Ora Lee Wright Lacey. She was a homemaker and a clerk with the state unemployment office.

Mrs. Ballentine is survived by her Son: Craig & Christi Ballentine of Albertville, Daughter: Amy Michelle & Jason Brooks of Boaz, Grandchildren: Emily & Cason Cooper, Casey & MaKenlee Wiggins and Zoë Ballentine & Evan Priest, Great Grandchildren: Beau Cooper and Lane Cash Wiggins, Brother Sonny & Glennda Lacey of Sardis and Sisters: Connie Bearden of Albertville. She was preceded in death by her parents: A. C. & Ora Lee Lacey, Husband: Jimmy Ballentine, and Daughter: Pam Jordan.

Pallbearers will be Casey Wiggins, Cason Cooper, Chris Bearden, Van Ballentine, Evan Priest, and Jim White.
