Mr. Vickey Walker

Mr. Vickey "Vick" Leon Walker, Jr. age 63, of Mountainboro, Alabama, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 28, 2016.
Service will be held Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darrell Ross and Bro. Jimmy Umphrey officiating. Interment will follow in the Thrasher Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz is directing. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Vick was a friend to everyone and always available when he was needed. He loved all his family and carried a special love for all his grandchildren.
Mr. Walker is survived by his Wife of 32 years: Anita Bunch Walker of Mountainboro, Son: Michael Walker of Mountainboro, Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Christy & Terry Davis of Gadsden, Tammy & Teddy Sims of Boaz, 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, Brothers &Sister-in-Law: Wallace & Belinda Walker of Boaz and Timmy Walker of Aroney, Sisters & Brothers-in-Law: Donna Walker & Boyd Chamblee of Horton, Wyvonna & Larry Odell of Aroney and Penny Lightsey of Aroney. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents: Leon & Edith Walker, Brothers: Byron Walker and Jimmy Dale Walker, Sister-in-Law: Linda Walker.
Pallbearers will Wallace Walker, Timmy Walker, David Bunch, Teddy Sims, Brandon Register and A. J. Ziegler. Honorary Pallbearers will be Will Shannon Odell, Albertville Street Department and all his nephews.
The family would like to express their thanks and love for all the prayers, visits and food during his time of illness. A special "thank you" is extended to Joshua Kirkland and nurses of ABC Hospice.
