The family of Max Warren Yother, 72, is grieving, but "not as those who have no hope" and celebrating his life of love, commitment, joy and now passing into the presence of Jesus on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Marshall Medical Center South, Boaz.
A life-long resident of Aroney, Max was born June 28, 1942 to Forney and Lillian Yother and was married September 10, 1966 to Vida Mae Yother.
His only sister, Betty Kilpatrick, also precedes him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Vida Mae; brother, Kyle Yother; brother-in-law, Lyveral Kilpatrick; nieces, Roxanne (David) Cofield, Joanna (Jeff) Patterson, Sumer (Derek) Smith, Ashley Ramsey, Carla Williams; nephews, Drexel (Kathy) Kilpatrick, Nolan Newman, Jr., Tim Newman, Jeremy (Angel) Yother; several very special great nieces and nephews; life-long, close cousin, Peggy Bearden; and chosen niece and nephew, George and Tracey Walker.
The celebration service will be Tuesday, April 21 at 3:00 p.m. at McRae Funeral Home, Boaz with his Pastor, Kevin Brooks, and David O. Cofield, officiating. Two great nephews, Keith and Kevin Cofield, will give eulogies. Music will be by Jimmy Wofford and Kevin Brooks. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Drexel Kilpatrick, Keith and Kevin Cofield, Jeremy Yother, Jeff Patterson and Derek Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Todd, Kenny Smith and George Walker.
The family requests no flowers but memorials to be donated to the Mt. Zion Youth and Children's Fund, P.O. Box 597, Boaz, AL 35957.
