Mary Taylor

Mary Ellen McDoniel Taylor, 92, of Boaz, Alabama died Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Shepherd's Cove Hospice.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Bro Steve Taylor and Dr. David Martin officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. She will lie-in-state from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the church.  Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Steven Ray & Shirley Taylor; daughters & sons-in-law Mary Beth & Terry Foshee, Linda Faye & Edward Johnston, and Peggy Joyce & David Simmons; brother & sister-in-law John Wesley & Virginia McDoniel; sister Carolyn Sue McDoniel; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her husband Harvey Taylor, sister Edna Lois Sample and grandson Charles Timothy Boatfield.

Mrs. Taylor's Grandsons and Great-Grandsons will serve has pallbearers.

The family will receive flowers, or in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Mary Ellen Taylor.
