Mrs. Mary Jo Rowan, age 81 of Rowan Jacobs Road, Altoona, Alabama died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 at her residence.
Services were held on 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at McRae Chapel, interment in Pineview Cemetery with Bro. Freddy Golden officiating. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz, Alabama is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday evening 6 - 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rowan was born in Alabama on June 30, 1931 to William Hamilton & Nellie Washburn Smith. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Rowan is survived by her Daughter: Mary Smith of Boaz, Son: James Rowan of Aurora, Chosen children: Marie Otinger, Linda Reynolds, Mary Ruth Butler, Teddy Terry, Richard Terry, Tonya Bassal, Grandchildren: Jeremy Smith, Jennifer Drummond, Brittany & Daniel Perigo, Celena Hill, Katie Rowan, Steven Kitchens and Tyler Otinger, Great Grandchildren: Lamar Smith, Brodey Carr, Braden Carr and Jasmine Perigo, Sisters: Sara Wallace of Lincoln and Annie Bickelhaupt of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband: Junior Rowan.
Pallbearers will be John Hill, Bobby Pruitt, Ricky Drummond
