Martha Helton

March 17, 1932 — April 9, 2011

Mrs. Martha Sue Helton, 79, of Hudson Hollow Road, Boaz, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at her residence.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 2a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at McRae Chapel with interment in the New Life Christian Center Cemetery. Bro. Curtis mason will be officiating McRae Funeral Home of Boaz is directing. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6 - 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Helton was born in Marshall County, Alabama on March 17, 1932 to Homer & Ader Lee Alexander Embry. She was a homemaker and a member of the Central Holiness Church in Gadsden.

Mrs. Helton is survived by her Sons: Arnold Dean Helton of Boaz, Troy Lee Helton of Gadsden and William Helton of Boaz, Daughters: Mary Faye Elkins, Mildred Vaughn and Marilyn Louise Clanton all of Boaz, 8 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, Brother: Buddy Embry of Morgan City, Twin Sister: Mary Lou Henderson of Boaz, Half-sisters: Rita Grant, Bonnie Simmons and Norma Oberlies, 10 special nieces and nephews and Special friends: her sisters in the Lord. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Arnold Helton.

Pallbearers were George Henderson, Steve Henderson, John Henderson, Shane Nation, Lancy Vaughn and Billy Wayne Helton. Honorary Pallbearer was Andy Pollard.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Alacare of Albertville and to Alacare Hospice of Gadsden.
