Mr. Loyd Clemons, 88, of South Main Street, Boaz, Alabama, died Friday, October 28, 2016 UAB Medical Center.
Graveside service will be held at One o'clock p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Hillcrest Cemetery. Dr. Aaron Johnson will be officiating. McRae Funeral Home of Boaz in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 until 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Clemons was born in Etowah County, Alabama on June 19, 1928 to Tollie & Alma Johnson Clemons. He was a retired diesel Machinist with Republic Steel and a proud Army Veteran.
Mr. Clemons is survived by his wife: Mairlyn Ruth Irvin Clemons of Boaz, Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Steve & Pam Clemons and Stan & Kerry Clemons all of Boaz and Terry & Nancy Clemons of Michigan, 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be his sons, grandsons and grandson-in-law. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Gideon Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church Boaz.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to First Baptist Church Boaz or to Hospice of Marshall County.
