Mr. Lee Earl Plunkett, age: 76, of Boaz, Alabama, died Monday, June 8, 2015, at his residence. Service will be Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Eleven o’clock a.m. at McRae Chapel Bro. Mike Springfield and Bro. Harold Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethsaida Baptist Church Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home. Mr. Plunkett was born May 25, 1939 near Crossville, Alabama to Earl & Addie Fortenberry Plunkett. He attended school at Crossville and Albertville. He was employed by the H. D. Lee Company where he worked in the shipping department for 32 years until it closed in 1998. Afterward he was employed by Chandalier Homes as a security guard for 5 years. When it closed, he retired because of failing health. Mr. Plunkett is survived by his wife of 55 years: Ellen Adean (Hammonds) Plunkett of Boaz, Son: Jody Lee Plunkett of Boaz, Grandson: Paxton Kane Plunkett and Granddaughter: Lacey Lowery, Sisters: Sue Hall Perry of Guntersville and Frances Stanfield of Albertville, several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Earl & Addie Fortenberry Plunkett and a Brother: Terry Mark Plunkett. All were from the Crossville area. Pallbearers will be David Ellis, David Perry, Greg McDowell, Jim Reed, Joe Maples and Larry Lasseter. Special thanks is offered to the wonderful, caring staff of Hospice of Marshall County, Shepherd’s Cove for their many hours of dedicated service. We also wish to express our sincere appreciation for our very special neighbors for all their help and for the thoughts and prayers of dear friends.
