Mr. Johnie Godfrey, 93, of Brown Street, Boaz, Alabama, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015 at his residence.
Service will be Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, eleven o'clock a.m. at Whitesboro Baptist Church with Bro. Ricky Haygood, Bro. John Satterfield and Bro. Alan Hallmark officiating. Interment will follow in adjoining Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Godfrey was born in Georgia on Feb. 11, 1922 to Lonnie & Susie Frix Godfrey. He was a retired auto mechanic. Mr. Godfrey is survived by his Son & Daughter-in-Law: Gary Lee & Donna Godfrey of Cleveland, Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Benda & Keith Carroll of Gallant, Sherrie & Jerry Elkins of Albertville and Shunnie & Edward Stanfield of Boaz, 9 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren, Brother: Delon Hall of Boaz and Sister: Burtha Bullard of Falkville. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Jean Hallmark Godfrey, Sister: Eula Simpson and Mother: Susie Hall.
Pallbearers will be Heath Stanfield, Todd Carroll, Jared Godfrey, Adam Howard, Trevor Stanfield, Jason Davis, Levi Davis and Avery Carroll.
