John Henry Finley

Mr. John Henry Finley, age 92, of Boaz, Alabama died on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at his residence and Mrs. Virginia Knight Finley, age 90, of Boaz, Alabama died on Monday, October 12, 2026, at her residence.

A joint funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Beulah Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Holcomb and Bro. Chuck Knight officiating. Interment will follow in the Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 10 o’clock am until funeral time at the church.

Mr. Finley was born in Alabama on February 24, 1934, to William & Leola Landrum Finley and Mrs. Finley was born in Alabama on August 5, 1936, to J. H. & Lois Knight. Mr. Finley retired from the S.C.T. and Mrs. Finley served as church secretary and pianist for many years.

Mr. & Mrs. Finley are survived by their Daughters: Vicki & Bill Welch and Sherree & Mike Foxx all of Albertville and Glenda & Dan Brasher of Athens, Grandchildren: April & Kory Duquette, Clint & Amanda Foxx, Ann & Spencer Murphy, Austin & Brittany Brasher, and Audrey & Lincoln Phongsavan, Great Grandchildren: Mitchell Duquette, Josie Rhoden, Finlee Foxx, Monroe Foxx, Elizabeth Brasher, Eyrah Brasher and Emry Brasher. Mrs. Finley is also survived by her Brother: Kenneth & Rosemary Knight of Albertville.

Pallbearers will be Clint Foxx, Austin Brasher, Lincoln Phongsavon, Steve Painter, Ronnie Miller, Kory Duquette, Chris Knight, Rodney Knight, Keith Knight, Mark Knight, Brad Ham, and Kevin Hanson.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, Beulah Baptist Church, Beulah Cemetery fund or a charity of your choice.
