Joe Maples

Mr. Joe Maples age 86, of Boaz, Alabama, died on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at his son’s residence in Boaz.

Funeral service will be held at Eleven o’clock am on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Bethsaida Baptist Church with Bro. Shannon Pullen, Bro. Mike Johnson and Bro. Mike Springfield officiating and eulogy by life-long friend: Mike Magnusson. Interment will follow in the Bethsaida Cemetery. Mr. Maples will lie-in-state at the church from 10:00 o’clock am until service time on Saturday. Visitation will be on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Maples was born in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama on March 11, 1940, to Posey Edward & Mildred Kelly Maples. He was a retired engineer with the Lee Company.

Mr. Maples is survived by his, Daughter: Annette Miller of Boaz, Sons & Daughter-in-Law: Dennis & Nydia Maples of Florida, Greg & Layla Maples of Boaz. Grandchildren: Nick Maples, Julia Maples, Leslie Jenkins, Livia Maples, Luke Maples. Step-Grandchildren: Taylor Wood, Audrey Surridge, Jeremy Brittain, Julie Lewis. Great Grandchildren: Carter Maples, Grier Maples. Brothers: Edward (Martha) Maples, David Maples, Terry (Joan) Maples, and Mike (Jessica) Maples, Sisters: Betty (Dean) Wilson, Brenda (Terry) Alexander, Sheila (Steve) Thomas, Debbie Maples, and Cindy (Doug) Kirk and a host of Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Rev. P.E. & Mildred Maples, Step-mother: Katherine Maples, Wife: Martha Ann Maples, Son: Danny Maples, and Son-in-Law: Rickey Miller, Brothers: J. R. (Peggy) Maples and Billy ( Patsy) Maples, Mother & Father-in-Law: Wheeler & Annie Mae Freeman, Brothers-in-Law: George (Katherine) Freeman, Barry Lee (Faye) Freeman, and Michael Garrard, Nieces: Jayme Atnip, Mary Wilson, and Lisa Maples, Nephew: Joey Maples.

Pallbearers will be Nick Maples, Luke Maples, Carter Maples, Larry Lasseter, Jimmy Cornutt, Gary Thrasher, Mike Lusk, and David Ellis.
