Joann Perigo Anderson

Mrs. Joann Perigo Anderson, age 83, of Boaz, Alabama died on Friday, May 15, 2026, at her residence.

A funeral service will be held at Two o’clock pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mickey Perigo & Bro. Ron Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in the Forrest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from twelve o’clock pm until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Perigo was born in Tennessee on February 14, 1943, to Franklin & Ellen Deckard Perigo.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her Husband: Homer Edward Anderson of Boaz. Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Annette Nailer (Charles) of Albertville, ReBekah Swords (Danny) of Boaz, Marie Piper (Tim Curtis) of Boaz. Sons & Daughter-in-Law: James Patterson of Attalla, Brian Anderson (Brandy) of Boaz. Grandchildren: Brandon Nailer, Timothy Swords, Montana Shurm, Joshua Swords, Christina Bowen, Jonathan Piper, Breanna Anderson, Brosha Anderson, Mia Anderson, Thomas Anderson.  Brother: Elmer Perigo of Boaz. Sister: Shirley Hudgins Boaz. Family Friend: Sandra Wooten.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her Parents: Frank & Ellen Perigo. Son: Michael Anderson . Sisters: Katie Perigo Law, Ora Mae Perigo Braswell. Brothers: Rev. James Perigo, George Perigo, Bob “Bobby” Perigo, Paul Perigo, Ed Sampson.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Nailer, Timothy Swords, Joshua Swords, John Piper Sr., Tim Curtis, Jeremy Bowen.

Honorary Pallbearer: Lynn Braswell.
