Jimmy Russell Kinney

Mr. Jimmy Russell Kinney age 87, of Boaz, Alabama, died on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at two o’clock pm at Pleasant Hill #1 Baptist Church with Bro: Bruce Campbell and Bro. Kevin Ratcliff officiating with eulogy by Jerame Hill. Interment will follow in the adjoining Cemetery. Mr. Kinney will Lie-in-State from 1:00 pm until service time at the church on Monday. A visitation will be on Sunday evening, April 27, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Kinney was born in Alabama on May 25, 1937, to Russell Velton & Emma I. V. Hayes Kinney. He was a retired USDA inspector.

Mr. Kinney is survived by Wife: Billie Ruth Walker Kinney of Boaz, Daughters: Sheree & Rick O’Connor of Huntsville and Shena & Keith Hill of Boaz, Grandchildren: Joshua May, Jerame & Kate Hill, Jantzen & Morgan Hill and Julianna Hill, Great Grandchildren: Holt Hill, McKinley May and Charlotte Hill, Special Niece and Nephew: Angie Walker and David Walker. He was preceded in death by his Parents: R. V. & I. V. Kinney, Brother: Eugene Kinney and Sister: Catherine Johnson.

The pallbearers will be Joshua May, Jerame Hill, Jantzen Hill, David Walker, Kenny Walker, and Michael Thomas.
