Jerry Bearden

Mr. Jerry Bearden, age 80, of Boaz died on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Bearden was born in Alabama on November 21, 1938 to Theordore Vestus & Ruby Jo Bearden. Mr. Bearden was a lifelong resident of Etowah Co. & Boaz, Al. He was a man of the Baptist Faith and retired from Gold Kist Poultry. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman & Loved farming. He was all things outdoors at which made him happy. He will be sorely missed.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at McRae Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Billy Ray “Red” Rowan officiating with burial to follow in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

Mr. Bearden is survived by His Wife: Gaynell Bearden. Daughters: Melissa Jill Bearden of Crossville, Amy Michelle Bearden of Walnut Grove. Son: Mark Jason Bearden of Crossville. Grandchildren: Jalyn Bearden, Tabitha Bearden, Brianna Bearden, Zachary Bearden. Sister: Mary Ann Luther of Rainbow City. Brothers & Sister-in-Law: James Nelson & Kathy Bearden of Georgia, Ricky Joe Bearden of Clay. Several Nieces & Nephews.

Mr. Bearden was preceded in death by his parents: Theodore Vestus & Ruby Jo Bearden. Sister: Dorothy Sue Kirtland. Brother: Gary Lee Bearden.

Pallbearers will be: Chris Lybrand, Chuck Greson, Joe Franklin, Keith Riggins, Joey Plunket & Mike Umphery.
