James "Mike" Gray

James “Mike” Gray, age 62, of Boaz, Alabama died on Monday, September 28, 2026, at his residence.

A Funeral service will be held at two o’clock pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the Whitesboro Baptist Church with Bro. Alan Halmark and Bro. Joe Noojin officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 12:00pm – 2:00pm at the Church

Mike was born in Alabama on December 12, 1963, to Otis & Martha Morgan Gray. He graduated from Collinsville High School Class of 1982. He was a dedicated employee of Mitchell Grocery Corp. for 37 years, faithful member of Whitesboro Baptist Church. Mike was a devoted husband and he always put his family first. Mike was a proud supporter of the Auburn Tigers.

Mike is survived by his Wife of 34 years: Tammy Gray of Boaz. Son & Daughter-in-Law: Koty & Misty Murphy of Boaz. Daughter: Brittney Murphy of Boaz. Grandchildren Karson Hill, Kade Hill, Addison Murphy, Parker Murphy. Brother & Sister-in-Law: Ladon & Phyllis Gray of Collinsville. Sisters & Brother-in-Law: Debra Jenkins of Rainsville, Melanie & Paul Zelko of Tennessee

Mike was preceded in death by his Parents: Otis & Martha Gray.
