Mrs. Irene Denson Cooley, 94, of Pleasant Hill Church Road, Boaz, Alabama, died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Golden Living of Boaz.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Bro. Keith Dodd officiating. McRae Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cooley was born in Alabama on Jan. 27, 1921 to Dee & Annie Hall Denson. She was a homemaker but also helped at her Husband, Dr. William L. Cooley's dental office as well as on the family farm.
Mrs. Cooley is survived by her Daughter & Son-in-Law: Dee Anne & Haskell Ashley of Boaz, Granddaughter: Leah & Nathan Milam of Boaz, Great Granddaughter: Mary Ashley Milam of Boaz and Special Friends: Pam Rogers and Readave Patterson. Mrs. Cooley was preceded in death by her parents, Husband: Dr. William L. Cooley, Brother: Dr. Joe Denson and Sister: Hazel Milner.
Pallbearers will be John Beck, Randall Morton, Moe Smith, Jim Bishop, Wayne Ashley and Chris Cornelius. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Cooley, Bill Amberson and The Margaret White Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church Boaz.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to First Baptist Boaz Music Department or charity of your choice.
