George Finley Lackey, Jr.

Mr. George “Finley” Lackey, Jr, age 69, of Boaz, Alabama died on Friday, May 15, 2026, at his residence.

A wake will be held on May 30, 2026, from 4:00 o’clock pm until 6:00 o’clock pm at his residence, 3920 Bethsaida Road, Boaz.

Mr. Lackey was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 16, 1957, to Lois Jean “Jeanne” Garland Lackey and George Finley Lackey, Sr. He was a respected commercial kitchen designer with Bresco in Birmingham for many years.

Mr. Lackey is survived by his Wife: Patricia Glasscock Lackey of Boaz, Daughters: Jessie Lackey-Slaton (Mike) of Huntsville, Kaitlin Foster (Evan) of Guntersville and Sarah Hartvigson (Derek) of Toney, Grandchildren: Lily, Willow, Avery, Ryleigh, Jack, Wyatt, Oliver, and Hayes, Sister: Heather Lackey Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania and Nephews: Rob Haden and Jon Haden and Niece: Heather Preputnik. He was preceded in death by his Parents: “Jeanne” & George Finley Lackey, Sr. and Grandchild: Angel Baby Foster.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Finley’s honor to Marshall Cancer Care Center through the Foundation for Marshall Medical Centers.
