Fred Springfield

Mr. Fred Springfield, 91, of College Avenue, Boaz, Alabama died Monday, January 30, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center South.

Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Bro. Paul Lackey, Bro. Mike Springfield and Bro. Tony Holcomb will be officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time on Wednesday at funeral home. McRae Funeral Home is directing.

Mr. Springfield was born in Alabama on October 24, 1925 to B. B. & Ibby Pankey Springfield. He was a retired electrician in the steel industry. He was also a proud WWII Navy Veteran.

Mr. Springfield is survived by his Wife: Maudell Springfield of Boaz, Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Phillip & Cathy Springfield and Dana & Terri Springfield of Boaz, Daughter: Ramona Miller of Albertville, Grandchildren: Dr. Lynn Miller (Katie), Dawn Minton (Andy), Dana Springfield, II, Dina Hays (Jeremy) and Matthew Anderson ( Kathryn) Great Grandchildren: Deacon B. Miller, Jackson Minton, Abby Minton, Alaina Springfield, Bella Hays, Bryla Hays and Bruce Anderson, Brother: Glenn Springfield of Boaz, Sister: Roena Shell of Boaz and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Springfield was preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers: B. Springfield, Cecil Springfield, Ercel Springfield, Buel Springfield, Farris Springfield, Raygon Springfield, Sisters: Marjorie Johnson and Nickie Thomas.

Pallbearers will be Andy Minton, Dr. Lynn Miller, Jackson Minton, Matthew Anderson, Dana Springfield, II, Jeremy Hays and Mark Springfield.
