Fayrene Barrett

Mrs. Fayrene Barrett, age 84, of Boaz, died on Monday, May 4, 2026, at her residence.

A funeral service will be held at two o’clock pm on Thursday, May 7,2026 at the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Janette Gillum officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Gadsden. Visitation will be Thursday, May 7, 2026, from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Barrett was born in Alabama on February 5, 1942, to John L. & Gladys Pike Reid and was reared by her Grandmother: Bessie V. Reid. She retired from the Wrangler Corporation in Altoona.

Mrs. Barrett is survived by her Son: Timothy Barrett of Boaz, Granddaughter: Melody Tynes, Great Grandchildren: Ethan, Tynes, Maverick Tynes, and Levi Tynes, Sisters: Carolyn Cross of Boaz and Marilyn Simmons of Altoona. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Jerry L. Barrett, Sister: Glenda Nailer, Brother: John Reid, Father: John L. Reid and Grandmother: Bessie V. Reid.
