Eugene "Gene" Cross

Mr. Eugene Henry “Gene” Cross, Jr, age 79, of Albertville, Alabama died on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

A funeral service will be held at two o’clock pm on Friday, August 21, 2026, in the McRae Chapel with Bro. Bill Rucker and Bro. Mark Howington officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Friday, August 21, 2026, from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Cross was born in Alabama on November 3, 1946, to Lilly Leona Ogle Cross and Eugene Henry Cross, Sr. He was a Navy Veteran as well as a retired Army Veteran.

Mr. Cross is survived by his wife: Carolyn Reid Cross of Albertville, Daughters: Kelly Walker & Toby of Albertville and April Dasher of Texas, Step-children: Michelle Woodard & Michael and Christi Price all of Guntersville and Donnie Marr & Shasta of Boaz, Grandchildren: Raven Dasher, Harmony Dasher, Skyler Cross, Parker Cross, Brody Walker & Sydney, Logan Walker, Michael A. Price, Jr. & Katy, Malik Woodard, Justin Price, Trey Marr & Aubrey, Madilyn Woodard, Briley Marr, Ty Marr, and Emmory Nadrotowski, Great Grandchildren: Finley “Finn” Walker, Tavy-Kole Walker, Theodore “Teddy” Walker, Raelyn Walker, Sawyer Walker, Braxton McDaniel, Ava Price and Evan Price. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Leona & Eugene Cross, Son: Christopher Cross, Brother: James Cross, and Sister: Betty Barnard

Pallbearers will be Michael A. Price, Jr., Malik Woodard, Justin Price, Trey Marr, Briley Marr, and Ty Marr.
