Mrs. Esther W. Brand, 82 of the Whiton Community, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at Albertville Health and Rehab. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 21, 2016; Eleven o'clock a.m. at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Keith Williams and Dr. Aaron Johnson officiating. Interment followed at 3:00 o'clock p.m. in Forest Crest Cemetery, Birmingham. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Brand was born in St. Claire County, Alabama on September 29, 1933 Robert W. & Mary Harriet Riddle Washington.. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Brand is survived by her Husband: Gordon Brand of the Whiten Community, Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Amy & Steve Machen and Susan & Keith Williams all of Albertville, Grandchildren: Michelle Machen, James Williams, Nancy & Dannelle Barnes, Robert Williams and Sarah Williams, Brothers: Hoyt Washington of Trussville and Travis Washington of Pelham. She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert & Mamie Washington.
Pallbearers will be James Williams, Robert Williams, Kyle Washington, Larry Washington, Dannelle Barnes, Frank Riddle, Ronnie Poe, Mark Washington and Greg Poe.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Central Baptist Church of Albertville, First Baptist Church Boaz, Hospice of Marshall County or the Gideon's International.
