Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Blalock Otinger, age 86, of Alabama Highway 205, Boaz, Alabama, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Shepherd's Cove.
Funeral service will be Saturday, March 12, 2016, Two o'clock p.m. at First Baptist Church Boaz with Bro. Keith Dodd officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the church. She will Lie-in-State on Saturday from noon until service time at the church.
Mrs. Otinger was born in Alabama on January 15, 1930 to Omer L. & Sally Mae Johnson Blalock. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Otinger is survived by her Daughter and Son-in-Law: Libby & Alan Bates of Gulf Shores, Grandchildren: Shane & Amanda Otinger, Steven & Summer Bates, Sam Bates and FiancAC. Jessica Bailey, Austin Carroll and Syndey Clinton, Great Grandchildren: Chastin Otinger and Shayna Otinger, Sister: Johnnie Lynch of Madison. She was preceded in death by her Husband: S. J. Otinger, Son: Phillip Otinger and Daughter: Lynn Otinger.
Pallbearers will be Shane Otinger, Steven Bates, Sam Bates, Austin Carroll, Frank Wilson, Scott Clinton and Gerald Noel.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of Marshall County, 408 Martling Road, Albertville, AL 35951.
