Dr. William Howard Osborn, age 78 of Merrill Gardens, Albertville, Alabama died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2011, at Shepherd's Cove.
Funeral service was Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at McRae Funeral Home Chapel, with Steve Thrasher and Jerri Manasco officiating. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery in Iuka Mississippi. McRae Funeral Home of Boaz, Alabama is in charge of the arrangements.
Dr. Osborn was born in Mississippi on November 10, 1933 to Zedrick & Dora Johnson Osborn. He was a graduate of Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Auburn University. Dr. Osborn was President of Snead State College from 1978-1996
Dr. Osborn is survived by his: Son & Daughter-in-Law Tony & Pam Osborn of Boaz, Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Mitzi & Mike McLaurine of Montgomery, Becky & Phillip Kinney of Boaz. Brother & Sister-in-Law Clifton & Carol Osborn of Southside. Grandchildren: Nicole & C.J. Shaw, Chelsea McLaurine, Jeremy Osborn, Katie Osborn, Tyler Osborn, Casie Kinney, and Kyle Kinney. Step-Grandson: Trey Ables. Dr. Osborn was preceded in death by his Wife Joan Osborn.
Pallbearers were Grandsons & Nephews Jason & Jesse Osborn.
