Mrs. Dorothy Holcomb Lyon, 87, of Gary Road, Albertville, Alabama died Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her residence.
Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Bro. Dwight Gary will be officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 - 8 Friday evening at funeral home. McRae Funeral Home is directing.
Mrs. Lyon was born in Etowah County, Alabama on February 27, 1929 to Henry Lee & Verna L. Price Holcomb. She was retired as a computer programmer in the banking industry.
Mrs. Lyon is survived by her Brother & Sisters-in-Law: Talmage & Joyce Holcomb and Jacqueline Holcomb all of Boaz, Nephews: Bruce Holcomb, Brian Holcomb and David Holcomb and Niece: Laurie Moody. Mrs. Lyon is preceded in death by her husband: Robert Lyon, parents: Henry Lee & Verna Holcomb, Brother: Spurgeon Holcomb and Nephew: Jim Holcomb.
Pallbearers will be Brian Holcomb, John Holcomb, Robert Moody, Sid Dooley and Chad Moody.
