Charles Slaton

Mr. Charles Edward "Charlie, Big C" Slaton, age 61 of Richmond Ave., Boaz, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at his residence.
Service will be Friday Jan. 31, 2014, Two o'clock p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Dr. Glen Conner and Bro. Chip Vann officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home of Boaz is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday from 11 until funeral time at the church.
Mr. Slaton is survived by his, Wife: Debra Slaton of Boaz, Daughter & Son-in-law: Christy & Blake Farmer of Boaz, Sisters: Ora Lou Weisenmair and Annie Jo Welford, Step-Brothers: Carl Stiefel, Eddy Stiefel and Charles Stiefel.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Bright, Brian Franks, Mike Garmany, Phillip Wright, Mike Minyard, Darryl Farmer, Kyle Minyard, and Audie Irvine. Honorary Pallbearers will be All Tackle Trap Buddies, Pine Apple Hunting Club, George Dobbins, J.G. Minyard, Jim Beck, Joe Franks and the Boaz Fire Department.
