Charles R. Cleveland

Mr. Charles R. Cleveland age 86, of Horton, died on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at three o’clock pm at Pleasant Grove Global Methodist Church with Bro. Dan Godwin, Bro. Christopher Cornett, Bro. David Poole, and Bro. Ricky Holmes officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The visitation will be on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from noon until service time at the church.

Mr. Cleveland was born in McClarty, Alabama on May 27, 1939, to Fred and Lilla Ivey Cleveland. He was a retired brick mason.

Mr. Cleveland is survived by Wife of 65+ years: Helen Cleveland of Horton, Sons: Ricky & Angela Cleveland of Oneonta and Philip & Trina Cleveland of Horton, Daughter: Wendy & Gabe Fulenwider of Horton, Grandchildren: Michael & Mattie Cleveland, David & Tessa Cleveland, Joseph & Becca Cleveland, Luke & Kristina Cleveland, Travis & Anna Lea Cleveland, Tyler Cleveland, Jackson Cleveland, Charlee Fulenwider, Griffin Fulenwider, and Gavin Fulenwider, 6 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Fred & Lilla Cleveland and 8 Siblings.

The pallbearers will be his grandsons Michael Cleveland, David Cleveland, Travis Cleveland, Joseph Cleveland, Luke Cleveland, Jackson Cleveland, Griffin Fulenwider, and Gavin Fulenwider. An honorary pallbearer will be Ismeal Salas.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation to “Bright Little Minds” a nonprofit Foundation for children with autism, 3728 Woodvale Road, Birmingham, AL 35223.
