Charles Castleberry

Charles Noel Castleberry age 84 of Boaz, AL, died September 15,2014 at Princeton Baptist Hospital.

Service will be held Friday September 19th at 11 :00 am at McRae Funeral Home Chapel in Boaz. Reverend Keith Dodd and Reverend Chuck Hooten will be officiating. McRae Funeral Home Boaz is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time.

Charles was born in Boaz, Alabama on November 20, 1929 to Paul and Lois Bruce Castleberry. He graduated from Boaz High School. He served proudly in the United States Air Force and then returned to Boaz and went into business for himself. He married Elaine Camp from Boaz in 1952. He was a member of Boaz First Baptist.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Hooten (Richard) of Birmingham, son Charles Davey Castleberry of Austin, Tx, son Larry Castleberry of Birmingham, grandsons Chuck Hooten (Emily), Bret Hooten (Delilah), David Hooten, Elliott Hooten, Casey Castleberry, and Dustin Castleberry (Kimberly). Granddaughters Micah Hooten, Elizabeth Hooten, Hallie Hooten, Zoe Hooten, and Audra Castleberry. Great grandchildren Hannah Hooten, Ian Hooten, Lily Hooten, Ava Hooten, Mae Hooten, and Ethan Castleberry. Sister Peggy Bridges (Jim) of Atlanta, Ga. He was preceeded in death by his wife Elaine, his parents Paul and Lois Castleberry, and his sisters Sue Callaway, and Margaret Richards.
