Carl Smith, Sr

Mr. Carl Smith, Sr, age 77, of Altoona, Alabama, died on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at his residence.             

A memorial service will be held at two o’clock pm, Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Friendship Cemetery with Ray "Red" Rowan speaking. There will not be a formal visitation.

Mr. Smith was born in Alabama on September 16, 1946, to Verbon & Euthema McCurley Smith. He retired from Goodyear Tire.

Mr. Smith is survived by his Daughters: Pam & Gary Stanfield of Altoona, and Amy & Joe Nelson of Hayden, 3 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Verbon and Euthema Smith, Son: Carl Smith, Jr., Sister: Jan Hill, and Grandson: Joel Smith.

 In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, 444 East Street NW, Washington DC 20001.
