Bro. Ray Roberson

Bro. Ray Roberson, age 91 of Boaz, Alabama, died on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.

Funeral service will be held at Eleven o’clock am on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Wes Lowery, Bro. Harold Baugh, and Bro. Lynn Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Bro. Roberson will lie-in-state at the church from 10:00 am until service time on Wednesday. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Bro. Roberson was born in Alabama on August 8, 1934, to James Alvin & Elma Walker Roberson. He was a retired maintenance man for both the Lee Plant and Liberty Manufacturing.

Bro. Roberson is survived by his Daughter & Son-in-Law: Rachel & Hugh Heaton of Boaz. Son & Daughter-in-Law: Kevin & Marsha Roberson of Boaz. Grandchildren: Maegan Knott, Bradly & Mariah Porch, Miranda & Michael Turner. Great Grandchildren: Hazel Knott and Tripp Turner. Bro. Roberson was preceded in death by his Parents: Alvin & Elma Roberson, Wife: Shirley Roberson and Son: Rodney Roberson.

Pallbearers will be Randall Brewster, Chris Darden, Kevin Rowan, Tim Hubbard, Mike Turner, and Greg Roberson.
