Mrs. Bonnie Mahan, age 78, of Horton, Alabama died on Saturday, August1, 2026, at her residence.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 o’clock pm on August 4, 2025, in the High Point Cemetery. There will not be a formal visitation.

Mrs. Mahan was born in Horton, Alabama on February 3, 1948, to Dan & Vella Smith Cook. She was a retired accountant.

Mrs. Mahan is survived by her husband: W. “Woody” Mahan of Horton, Sons: Willis Mahan, Jr. and Jenni of Atlanta, Ben Rhodes & Kiki of Chattanooga, and Stephen Mahan & Kristi of Horton, Grandchildren: Mackenzie Greenberg & Sam, Robin Mahan, Ara Rhodes, Bryar Aung & William, Declan Rhodes, Elliott Rhodes, Katelyn Hitchcock & Caleb, Jessica Williams & Billy and Michael Matthews & Brianna, Brothers: George Cook & Marlena, and Michael Cook & Brenda all of Oklahoma, Sisters: Rosie Dean and Joyce Blackwood & Barney all of Horton, and Vickie Potash of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents: Dan & Vella Cook, Brothers: Webster Cook, Joe Cook, and Tilton Cook, Sisters: Ida Lee Hopper, and Juanita Johnson and Grandson: Kenneth Matthews.
