Bill Summerford

Mr. Billy James "Bill" Summerford, age 76 of Fairview Cove Road, Altoona, Alabama died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013.

Funeral service will be Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at McRae Chapel, with Kerry Bryant officiating, interment to follow in Altoona Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home of Boaz, Alabama is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 - 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Summerford was born in Alabama on June 29, 1937 to James Trannie & Virgie Hammett Summerford.

Mr. Summerford is survived by his Daughter: Martha Jane Summerford, Several Grandchildren, Brother & Sisters-in-Law: Harold & Pat Summerford and Shirley Summerford, Sister & Brother-in-Law: Marie & Eldridge Holmes, Great Nephew and Wife: Blake & Jessica Summerford, and host of Nieces & Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews, Special Friend: Kayla Glover. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Judy Summerford, Parents, Brother: James Summerford, Sisters: Pauline Tarvin, Eveline Alverson and Estelle Summerford.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Jacobs, Will Jacobs, Craig Summerford, Dylan Summerford, Ray Roberson and David Tarvin. Honorary Palbearers: Gerald Tarvin, Bobby Summerford, Danny Summerford, Marion Hill, Joe Hill and Keith Summerford.
