Betty Adams Murphree

Mrs. Betty Adams Murphree, age 95 of Boaz, Alabama, died on Sunday, December 22, 2024, in Boaz.

 Funeral service will be held at two o’clock pm on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the McRae Chapel with Adam Greer and Jason Goggans officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:30 pm until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Murphree was born in Alabama on December 27, 1928, to Homer & Lovella Adams. She was a retired substitute teacher.

Mrs. Murphree is survived by her Daughters & Son-in-Law: Cathy & Jerry Greer of Boaz and Karen Greer of Albertville, Grandchildren: Paige & Chris Pell, Heather & Jason Goggans, and Adam Greer, Great Grandchildren: Madison & Christian Leonard, McKenna & Taylor Burns, McKane Goggans, Madelynn Goggans, and Maggie Goggans, Great Great Granddaughter: Josie Wren Leonard. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Homer & Lovella Adams and Husband: Verbon Murphree, Son-in-Law: Steve Greer and Siblings: Coy Adams and Dean Wright.

The pallbearers will be McKane Goggans, McKenna Burns, Madison Leonard, Adam Greer, Taylor Burns, Christian Leonard, Jason Goggans, and Chris Pell.

 Family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.
