Mr. Arnold Deleon "De" Owens, 52 of Jennifer Lane, Boaz, died Tuesday, Jan, 29, 2013 at UAB Hospital.
Service will be 11 o'clock a.m., Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Bro. James Hill will be officiating. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Owens is survived by his: Wife: Karen Kohler Owens of Boaz, Son & Daughter-in-Law: Eric S. & Michelle Owens of Georgia, Daughters & Son-in-Law: Jennifer Ann Owens of Texas and Ashley & Michael Patterson of Arkansas, 2 Granddaughters: Anna Mae & Hali Beth Patterson, Parents: Thomas D. & Karon Owens of Aroney, Brothers: Donny Owens of St. Louis and Dennis Owens of Aroney, Sister: Dawn Bowers of Mobile.
Pallbearers will be Donny Owens, Dennis Owens, David Bowers, Kevin Bolton, Jacob Duke, Ryan Owens and Jerry Barnette. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Mobile County Sheriff's Department.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association
