The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers.  You may choose only the items you desire.  However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead.  If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

Basic Services of the Funeral Director and Staff

Our basic service charge includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family or responsible party to plan the funeral and arrange the music or musicians; coordination of service with cemetery, crematory, vault company and others, as required; preparation and filing of necessary certificates and permits; preparation and forwarding of obituary notices as requested; service vehicle to secure, file and record death certificates, obtain and deliver permits, and file legal papers; application, coordination, notification of government related claim/honors and processing of insurance claims. Also included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facility such as sheltering of remains, professional licensing, legal and accounting fees, insurance, building and utility expenses, parking lot and grounds maintenance, taxes, furnishings, inventory costs, record keeping, secretarial and administrative expenses.  Also included in this charge is the necessary equipment such as church trucks protective clothing and other items required to maintain compliance associated with OSHA regulations.  This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select.  (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)THIS IS A NON-DECLINABLE FEE.

Embalming

Embalming is not required by law.  Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing.  If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

Our services include coordinating the funeral arrangements, supervision of funeral, staff to attend the funeral ceremony, supervision of committal or other disposition service, and setup and use of facilities for funeral ceremony.

Our services include coordinating the funeral arrangements, supervision of committal or other disposition service, setup, equipment and additional staff necessary to conduct funeral at other facility.
Services and Facilities for a Memorial Service

Chapel or Stateroom for Memorial Service without body present.  Our services include coordinating the memorial service, supervision of the memorial service, staff to attend memorial service, and setup and use of facilities for memorial service.

Our services include coordinating the funeral arrangement at graveside, supervision of the graveside service, and equipment and staff necessary to conduct the graveside service.

Forwarding of Remains to another Funeral Home

Forwarding of remains includes: the minimum services of staff, local  removal of remains, embalming, preparation of remains for shipment, consultation on arrangements; preparation and filing of required death certificate; obtaining necessary transit permit; coordinating service with receiving funeral home; shipping case; air tray; and transportation to Huntsville or Birmingham airports.  THIS CHARGE DOES NOT INCLUDE THE SERVICES OF STAFF AND FACILITIES FOR VIEWING AND/OR FOR FUNERAL RITES OR CEREMONIES PRIOR TO FORWARDING OF THE REMAINS.

Receiving of Remains from another Funeral Home

Receiving of remains includes: minimum services of staff; transportation from airport, temporary shelter of remains; and transportation of remains to cemetery or crematory.  THIS CHARGE DOES NOT INCLUDE THE SERVICES OF STAFF AND FACILITIES FOR VIEWING AND/OR FOR FUNERAL RITES OR CEREMONIES.

Immediate Burial

A proportionate share of the basic service fee is included in our charges; Hereafter called “minimum services of staff”. Immediate Burial includes:minimum services of staff; local removal of remains; washing and disinfecting; dressing and casketing, Shelter of remains (two day maximum); local transportation to the cemetery, and grave setup.  This charge does not include the use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to burial.

Direct Cremation Grouping

A proportionate share of the basic service fee is included in our charges; Hereafter called “minimum services of staff”. Direct Cremation includes; minimum services of staff; local removal of remains; shelter of remains (two day maximum); washing & disinfecting remains when no embalming; transportation to crematory; cremation and processing of cremains; and a cardboard box and bag. This charge does not include the use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to the cremation.  If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container.  Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering).  The containers we provide are corrugated cardboard boxes. (There will be an additional fee of $125.00 for excess time of cremation of a body greater than 300 lbs.)

If cremation cannot be completed within 48 hours of death, then a charge of $835.00 for embalming or $130 per day for refrigerated storage will be charged.
